Engineering Against the Odds: Korean Delegation Visits CHNZBTECH to Finalize Vertical Smelting Breakthrough

    XI’AN, CHINA- This week, CHNZBTECH had the distinct honor of hosting a high-level technical delegation from a leading South Korean specialty steel producer. The focus of their visit was a project that perfectly encapsulates our core strength: delivering high-efficiency solutions where space is the ultimate constraint.


    The challenge presented by the client was formidable. While operating an existing 8-ton and 6-ton Medium Frequency Furnace (MFF), they aimed to expand into premium stainless steel production by integrating a new 10-ton AOD refining furnace. The primary obstacle, clearly marked on the architectural drawings, was the available footprint—a mere 100 square meters. In heavy metallurgy, such a constraint typically halts expansion plans. However, at CHNZBTECH, it sparked innovation.

    Inside our corporate conference room, CHNZBTECH’s Chief Engineers unveiled a bespoke "Upper-Lower" vertical integration plan. Utilizing advanced 3D simulations, we demonstrated how the two existing Medium Frequent Furnaces would be elevated onto a robust, vibration-damping steel platform on the second level, while the powerful 10-ton AOD furnace would anchor the ground floor. This design does more than conserve space; it optimizes physics. By leveraging gravity for molten metal transfer, we minimize tapping time and drastically reduce thermal loss. After a rigorous review of stress analyses and safety protocols, the Korean technical team officially approved the design, praising its ingenuity.


    Transitioning from blueprint to reality, the delegation accompanied the CHNZBTECH team to our heavy machinery assembly workshop. On the factory floor, the focus shifted to craftsmanship. The guests conducted a meticulous inspection of the ongoing AOD furnace fabrication. They scrutinized the welding integrity of the water-cooled panels and the precision of the hydraulic tilting system. Observing CHNZBTECH’s stringent Quality Control checkpoints firsthand solidified their confidence in the project's execution.
